Steinkrüger, depending on the text type, around 20% of the vocabulary in a Tagalog text are of Spanish origin. Through his studies, the results of which were published in 1973 in the case of Tagalog and in 1976 in the case of Cebuano, it was found out that 20.4% of the lexicon used by Tagalog speakers were of Spanish origin, while it was 20.5% in the case of Cebuano. That's why a welded block between the sides are superior to even ones with a sleeve. Shackles are to move in a rotational direction not in a lateral direction. The bushings are there to absorb flex and movement between the springs and the frame. This is the reason even the stock ones have a shoulder bolt and are welded to the other side, so they remain square. You also don't want the 2 sides to either rack or become non parallel. So how do the even thinner stock ones hold up you ask? They are stamped steel and have sides rolled 90 degrees or dimples which stiffen an otherwise flat plane of material. The sides need to be at least 3/8" so they don't bend, 1/4" ones will bend. Off road shackles need to resist so much more force than a street vehicle.
